I just wanted to remind everyone that during the holidays is time is a perfect time to give. Personally around the holidays I always choose World Vision for my main charity. Most people get their catalog in the mail and that's what I like to use. If you don't get one you can do the exact same thing online at their website which is in important links at the bottom of the page. If you use World Vision you can choose exactly what you want to buy for a family in need. For example this year I'm buying a goat, a cow, 2 chickens and a rooster, and I'm helping stock a clinic. World Vision is a great way to help people in need and you can choose to donate 10 dollars or a million so it's always in budget. Happy Halloween!

I found some great charity apps while browsing through the apple app store, and I recommend them to everyone. Probably my favorite app, 60+ is an app created by WWF. This app shows you a list of "Acts" which are different things you can do to help the environment, save energy, and save animals. Every time you finish an act you get a badge and its added to your profile page that keeps up with all the acts you've done. It also has tips you can do everyday. Another great app is called Touch to Give. Everyday you can tap one of the three charity options to donate to. The breast cancer charity, animal charity or the hunger charity. When you tap it one of their many sponsors donates some money to the cause. After you've taped it, it comes up with other great websites where you can sign petitions, e-mail senators and other things to help the cause. Finally the app GiveWork this app has you answer simple questions to gain points, after you get 5 points a person in need gets 1 tomato, 1 banana, and a small bunch of greens. The more points you gain, the bigger the gifts get.

Animals URGENT

Today voting is happening to decide if we stop the funding for horse slaughter plants. This is a very important day for horses, it decides whether they live or die. Please visit the website below as soon as possible and call your state representative. The website has information on what to say when you call and how you can contact your representative. Also you can e-mail and spread the link any way possible, this would also be a big help to the horses.

You've all probably heard of the tornadoes that hit the south of the USA. I would like to encourage as many people as possible to donate. If you live anywhere near where the tornadoes hit you should go onto the red cross website to volunteer. (See website below) All you have to do is enter in the city where you live and fill out your preferences then you can select an volunteer option from the list it gives you and it will give you all the information you'll need. This also works for any other natural disaster or it'll work if you just want to help people in need in your community. Please help in anyway possible, many people have lost everything and they need help that you can provide.

This is a really great opportunity to support the environment and people in need. last week my cousin gave me this really cool bracelet and I just wanted to tell everyone about it. The company that makes the jewelry is called 31 Bits. It uses recycled paper to make the beads that go in to the jewelry and employ poor women to make all the necklaces, bracelets, and other jewelry. This is a two in one deal to help the world so its great. I recommend buying them as gifts for anyone or for your self. They're having a mothers day special and I'm for sure buying one for my mom.

Here's a quick pic of the bracelet I got!

A great way to help animals all over the world is to know which states are voting on bills that would help animals. A great way to know is to look on the American Humane Society website they tell you which states are voting on what bills and what they would do for animals. There aren't new bills popping up everyday so what I recommend is getting on the humane society's e-mail list. They e-mail you all the bills heading your way and give you great pointers on how to help animals. They also have an animal of the week which I love because you get to see some really cute animals that were rescued and you can read their success stories.
